Sessions

Therapy is both a journey and an investment; an investment of your time, effort, and money. We make decisions everyday about what we want to invest ourselves in. Many of us chose to invest ourselves in other things or people rather than investing in ourselves. It is of the utmost importance that you take a look at how you invest your time, money, and effort. If you are ready to prioritize your emotional needs, recognize that you may need some extra help, or are interested in learning more about why you are the way you are then you are ready for therapy. Our sessions will be anywhere from 45 minutes - 1.5 hours depending on your needs and what type of therapy we are doing. We will generally meet weekly and our work may last months to years. My cancellation policy is 24 hour notice with the full fee charged should there be less notice given.

I will invest myself in you and hope that you will find your investment in me to be useful and productive. Our work will be confidential and private. We will go over any questions you may have about confidentiality and privacy during our first session. I will explain the conditions of violating confidentiality and will make sure you understand the circumstances under which I am obligated to involve a third party. For more information, please click here: https://www.apa.org/topics/ethics-confidentiality. I will generally spend the first couple of sessions getting to know more about you and what brings you in for therapy. You will leave each session feeling heard, understood, and cared for. I will work to create a safe space in order to allow for vulnerable emotions, honesty, and openness. You will find that I may not share much personal information. This is because the time we spend together is about you. We very rarely get an opportunity to spend 45 minutes talking completely about ourselves and having someone focus exclusively on us and our needs. I will give you the opportunity to do this by listening, empathizing, and taking time to understand.
